Nutral Workforce Assured (NWA)

Driving construction labour management standards

Delivering transparency and fair practices within the labour supply chain that make the construction sector a more appealing place to start a career.

Introduction

Nutral Workforce Assured (NWA) is a new accreditation scheme designed specifically for contractors and employment intermediaries serving the construction industry. The accreditation is built on a tailored audit set out to manage compliance and drive better temporary workforce management practices. We aim to reduce risk within the temporary labour supply chain and to protect workers from exploitation by helping businesses highlight and eradicate bad practices.

What problem are we fixing

The UK construction sector is reliant on a temporary workforce with more than 87% of workers being self-employed and many coming via temporary labour agencies and/or payroll/CIS intermediaries. The sector is at the mercy of the temporary labour market but lacks appropriate standards to ensure practices are fair, transparent, and legal. This accreditation scheme sets a standard and focuses on continuous improvement to eradicate bad practices.

What our customers say

“As an overall process it was very good. Tim was excellent. He took a consultative approach to the audit and guided us through each stage. He also took time post audit to provide further insight and knowledge into some of our failings which eventually led to our completed action plan and audit pass.

I look forward to attending the seminars especially as Tim mentioned he was a key speaker.”

Gareth Riley,
Frontline Construction Recruitment

“We enjoyed the experience and thanks to Tim et al for your help. We all benefited from it and are now more robust as a company.”

Michael Durkin,
Director, Lonsite

“I found the process seamless, from the initial booking. I found Tim who carried out the audit to be extremely knowledgeable, polite, and informative. During the audit, Tim was making recommendations on how we can further protect ourselves which is vitally important for us as a risk-free and compliant business. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending the Nutral team for further audits.”
